Legal Researcher

About the role

The Legal Researcher will support ZATCA’s legal advisory function by conducting thorough legal research, maintaining knowledge databases, and providing clear advice on non‑tax, zakat, and customs matters. The role requires a proactive professional who can translate complex legal queries into actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of legal systems, processes and best‑practice guidelines.
• Develop methodology, templates and working guidelines for legal inquiry research and advisory services.
• Receive, evaluate and classify legal advice requests by urgency and relevance.
• Maintain and update the legal advisory database, ensuring request logs are current.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of legal studies and provide non‑tax legal opinions.
• Draft and administer employee feedback and satisfaction surveys in line with global best practices.
• Communicate survey results to stakeholders and ensure timely completion.
• Support junior staff, train them on core activities, and oversee workflow to ensure efficient case handling.
• Escalate complex issues to senior personnel and follow all relevant policies and SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal research or advisory experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
