Legal Specialist

About the role

Tabby is seeking a hands‑on Legal Specialist to join its KSA legal team. The role offers the chance to work closely with the KSA Legal Counsel, supporting commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and day‑to‑day legal operations in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts such as vendor, partnership and customer‑facing agreements, identifying risks and proposing solutions.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research on KSA laws, SAMA regulations and financial‑services frameworks, delivering actionable guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess impact on Tabby’s products and flag issues requiring legal attention.
• Own and improve contract lifecycle management processes, maintain the contract repository and track obligations.
• Develop standard legal templates, playbooks and internal guidance notes to ensure consistency.
• Manage legal workstreams and cross‑functional projects, acting as the primary point of contact for business teams and coordinating with external counsel when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized university.
• 1‑2 years of legal experience, preferably in fintech, banking, financial services or payments (in‑house or private practice).
• Strong understanding of KSA commercial law, contract principles and the regulatory framework governing financial services and consumer credit.
• Familiarity with SAMA regulations, BNPL framework in KSA and data‑protection requirements for fintech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Arabic and English.
