Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will oversee all outbound operations and inventory management, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of customer orders. This role acts as the central point of contact between carriers, suppliers, warehouses, customs brokers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage outbound activities for customer orders, coordinating shipments and monitoring turnaround time (TAT).
• Process and document letters of credit (LC) for shipments.
• Arrange transportation, track shipments and provide customers with timely updates.
• Collaborate with sales and warehouse teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
• Work with clearing agents and customs to optimise clearance procedures and verify export documentation.
• Maintain stock movement through the Warehouse Management System and conduct monthly stock audits.
• Coordinate invoicing with Sales Administration and credit teams.
• Prepare and manage warehouse petty cash.

Required profile

• Proven experience in outbound logistics and inventory control.
• Strong understanding of customs clearance processes and documentation.
• Ability to liaise effectively with carriers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) proficiency.
• Knowledge of letter of credit (LC) processing and customs documentation.
