Medical Coding Specialist – Medical Coder

About the role
The Medical Coding Specialist will ensure accurate coding of healthcare claims to secure proper reimbursement for Magrabi Hospitals. Working closely with clinical staff and insurance providers, the role supports the hospital’s revenue cycle and compliance processes.
Key responsibilities
- Assign appropriate procedure and diagnosis codes using specialized medical classification software for insurance billing.
- Review claim data to verify compliance with legal and insurer requirements, including necessary signatures and authorizations.
- Investigate denied claims caused by coding errors, conduct medical record research, and correspond with insurers and healthcare professionals to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate reimbursement records and support the overall billing workflow.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a medical field (e.g., medical records, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology).
- Saudi national.
- Minimum one year of experience in the healthcare sector.
- Very good command of English.
Required skills
- Medical coding.
- Proficiency with medical classification software.
