National Sales Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The National Sales Manager will own field sales delivery across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC for an established food manufacturer. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the role translates commercial strategy into actionable sales plans, drives national targets, and ensures customer service excellence across general trade, modern trade, and food service channels.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and control sales activities delivered through sponsored companies, agency representatives, distributors, and a direct sales team.
• Translate the commercial strategy into national, regional, and channel sales plans, targets, and route‑to‑market coverage.
• Approve sales plans across product lines, monitor implementation and overall national performance.
• Drive numeric and weighted distribution, product availability, and visibility across regions and channels.
• Continuously track sales results, analyse variances and take corrective actions.
• Develop sales policies, procedures, budgets and performance standards in cooperation with distributors and agencies.
• Set and communicate KPIs for regional and channel teams aligned to the national sales plan.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Production, Supply Chain and Finance to align sales plans with stock availability, order fulfilment and collections.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading national sales operations in the food or FMCG sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage regional teams, distributors and agency partners.
• Strong coordination skills with cross‑functional departments such as Marketing, Operations and Finance.
• Track record of consistently achieving profitable national sales targets.
