Resident Engineer – Luxury Hotel

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resident Engineer to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah, a landmark luxury hotel offering exceptional hospitality and breathtaking views of the Holy Mosque. The role is responsible for overseeing the Engineering Department to ensure the property and its assets are maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of Engineering Department supervisors and staff.
• Manage the Jumeirah Engineering Management System (JEMS) including fire, life and safety matrix, PPM and work order systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of engineering systems and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with standards.
• Communicate engineering updates to internal departments and external entities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or related engineering discipline.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Experience in building maintenance, MEP systems and preventive maintenance.
• Health and Safety certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
