Restaurant Captain – Lebanese Cuisine

About the role

The Captain will lead the service team in the Lebanese restaurant at Kempinski Al Khobar, delivering courteous, professional and efficient food and beverage service. This role ensures high guest satisfaction, promotes upselling, and upholds the hotel’s standards and values.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Restaurant Supervisor/Assistant Restaurant Manager and ensure punctuality and proper uniform compliance.
• Provide courteous, professional service and maintain high personal hygiene standards.
• Know and explain all food and beverage items, perform upselling and suggest alternatives.
• Monitor supplies, reduce waste, and manage inventory of products and equipment.
• Execute opening and closing procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Handle guest enquiries, report and follow up on complaints promptly.
• Operate the POS system according to training and departmental guidelines.
• Adhere to hotel policies on fire safety, hygiene, health and safety.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings and maintain good rapport with colleagues.
• Assist with monthly profit‑and‑loss analysis and act as a role model for the team.
