Retail Operations Director

About the role

Foreground is partnering with a leading regional apparel retailer to appoint a Retail Operations Director based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role oversees end-to-end store performance, operational excellence and customer experience across the GCC, and calls for a proven leader able to manage large-scale retail operations, introduce efficiency frameworks and drive sustainable profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the operational performance of retail stores across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.
• Establish and implement operating standards so they are executed consistently across all branches.
• Monitor KPIs such as sales per square foot, inventory turnover and staff productivity.
• Collaborate with merchandising, supply chain and marketing teams to optimise in-store experiences.
• Drive initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and loyalty programmes.
• Ensure compliance with legal, health and safety standards across all outlets.
• Lead store expansion and refurbishment programmes aligned with brand strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive retail operations experience, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role.
• Proven expertise in managing multi-country apparel operations.

Required skills

• Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L management.
• Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
