Senior Accountant – National

About the role

Join Dilawri Group of Companies, Canada’s largest automotive group, as a Senior Accountant supporting national operations. You will work across dealership and centralized purchasing functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting, including month‑end and year‑end close, journal entries, invoicing, and bank and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Support the national purchasing company and prepare quarterly dealership working‑paper templates.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, review balance‑sheet schedules, and maintain third‑party reporting.
• Prepare manufacturer financial statements and ensure internal controls are applied.
• Analyze expenses and inventory, assist with year‑end audit requests, and generate management reports.
• Process, review, and analyze payroll for discrepancies and taxable deductions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of senior accounting experience, preferably in management, investment or real‑estate environments.
• University degree in Business or Accounting; CPA designation is an asset.
• Strong communication, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (macros, lookups).
