Senior Associate – Corporate Venture Capital

About the role

1957 Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Riyad Bank, is looking for a Senior Associate to join its investment team in Riyadh. The role will support the full venture investment lifecycle, from sourcing early‑stage fintech and related startups to conducting due diligence, executing deals, and adding strategic value to portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage promising pre‑seed to Series A startups in fintech, insurtech, regtech and adjacent sectors.
• Map emerging trends, build relationships with founders, accelerators, VCs and innovation networks across MENA and globally.
• Evaluate business models, perform financial analysis, valuations and scenario modeling.
• Lead due‑diligence activities, prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Assist in deal structuring, negotiation and documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs and facilitate collaborations with Riyad Bank’s business units.
• Contribute to thought leadership by tracking global VC trends and shaping the firm’s investment thesis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or Business Administration (MBA or CFA preferred).
• Approximately five years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking or strategy consulting.
• Strong analytical background with proven financial modeling and valuation expertise.
• Saudi nationality preferred.
