Senior Business Development Specialist

About the role

Averda, a global leader in integrated waste management and environmental services, is seeking a commercially driven Senior Business Development Specialist to expand its footprint across Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on identifying, originating, and converting new business opportunities in waste management, recycling, and related environmental services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors and accounts in Saudi Arabia.
• Build and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline aligned with growth and revenue targets.
• Engage prospective clients, key decision‑makers, and stakeholders to generate leads.
• Research upcoming projects, tenders, and market developments.
• Collaborate with internal technical, operations, finance, legal, procurement, HSE, and commercial teams to craft viable solutions.
• Support the preparation of proposals, tenders, presentations, and commercial offers.
• Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and contract award processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in business development or commercial roles.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi market and commercial awareness.
• Proven ability to build relationships with private‑sector and semi‑government clients.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
