Senior Commercial Manager - Mixed-Use Development

About the role

KBR is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager for a major mixed-use development in Riyadh, described as a global landmark. The project is part of a large infrastructure programme, and KBR provides PMO services, enterprise-level governance, assurance, integration and performance oversight across all projects and programmes. The Senior Commercial Manager reports to the Senior Commercial Manager – Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with PMCs on executive commercial reporting, control, pre- and post-contract management, and close-out reports for each project.
• Develop, implement and govern standard cost and commercial reporting formats for PMCs, and maintain a database of insurances, guarantees and warranties.
• Compile and validate analytical commercial data, manage executive risk reporting and lead contracts, risk and support service departments.
• Develop the Project Cost Report (PCR), Commercial Executive Report and cash flows in Unifier, and prepare programme-wide consolidated cost reports for DevCo, BOD, Excom, Treasury, PIF and HRH.
• Collate annual budgets and prepare monthly cash flow reports for client review and approval.
• Prepare cost benchmark reports (tender price index, professional fees, construction costs, GFA/BUA, market prices) and issue cost benchmarking templates and elemental cost plans to PMCs.
• Take part in programme change control procedures, update the baseline budget, and link cost breakdown structure with work breakdown structure using earned value.
• Support the business plan exercise, consolidate PMC risk registers into programme-level registers, and assist the client with commercial strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or quantity surveying.
• Minimum 15 years of post-graduation experience.
• Certified as MRICS, CIOB or equivalent.
• Prior experience as Senior Commercial Manager.
• Sound knowledge of commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects, including procurement and contract management.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience with international contracting mechanisms including FIDIC and NEC.
• MS Office and project management software.
• Leadership, strong communication, planning and organisation skills, and HSE awareness.
