Senior Legal Counsel – Data Privacy & Technology Contracts

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to lead our Data Privacy and Technology Contracts practice. The role blends commercial contract work with privacy compliance, IP guidance, and M&A support across a global, cross‑cultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS, EULA, Master Service, Software Licensing, Cloud, OEM and Joint Development agreements.
• Lead commercial negotiations with enterprise clients, vendors, data providers and resellers.
• Manage the Data Governance Framework, serve as Data Protection Officer liaison, and drive GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and HIPAA compliance programs.
• Provide IP strategy advice, oversee open‑source licensing compliance and manage trademark matters.
• Support due diligence, risk assessment and contractual protections for M&A and strategic partnerships.
• Maintain contract templates, playbooks and standard operating procedures for the legal team.

Required profile

• LLB or equivalent law degree; postgraduate specialization in IP or technology law is a plus.
• 6‑8 years PQE in technology law, including at least 3 years in‑house corporate experience.
• Proven experience with Fortune 500 or large multinational companies.
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP‑US, CIPP/E) strongly preferred.

• Open‑source licensing (GPL, LGPL, MIT, BSD, Apache).
• ISO 27001, NIST and SOC framework alignment.
• Negotiation of SaaS, cloud and software licensing agreements.
• IP strategy, patent analytics and trademark support.
