Senior Materials and Corrosion Engineer

About the role

kbr is hiring a Senior Materials and Corrosion Engineer in Al Khobar. The role covers corrosion assessment of pipelines, piping and equipment, corrosion management reporting, integrity reviews and technical support for projects, working with Saudi Aramco best practices and engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarize yourself with international and Saudi Aramco best practices, engineering standards and procedures.
• Carry out corrosion assessments on pipelines, piping and equipment, preferably using software.
• Develop Corrosion Management Program (CMP) reports, material selection reports, diagrams and corrosion loop diagrams.
• Provide technical support, including RBI and corrosion inspection manuals for operating assets and new projects, including On-Stream Inspection (OSI) diagrams.
• Lead engineering assessments based on codes such as API 579, BS 7910, ASME B31G and DNV RP F101.
• Coordinate technical issues with other engineering disciplines and provide them with the necessary data.
• Guide corrosion calculations and interpretation of metallurgical codes and standards, review TBEs and NMRs, and review integrity assessment reports (ILI, FFP, RRR, direct assessment).
• Interface with client representatives, liaise with global offices and subject matter experts, and visit sites as required.
• Assist in training and developing junior team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+ years of experience.
• Degree in engineering.
