Senior Project Accountant

About the role

The Senior Project Accountant will join the finance team of a paper manufacturing company in Jeddah, overseeing financial operations of projects. This role offers significant responsibility for budget monitoring, cash‑flow management and strategic financial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage project budgets, focusing on CAPEX and cash flows throughout the project lifecycle.
• Open, manage and settle Letters of Credit, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
• Process loan and deposit documents, verifying accuracy and meeting financial obligations.
• Maintain comprehensive project accounting records, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Forecast funding requirements, implement cost‑control initiatives and prepare detailed financial performance reports.
• Collaborate with project managers to align financial goals with project objectives and conduct regular audits of project accounts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project accounting or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Proven experience monitoring CAPEX budgets and cash flows.
• Strong understanding of Letters of Credit and related financial instruments.
• Expertise in processing loan and deposit documentation.
• Proficiency in maintaining project accounting records, accruals and reconciliations.
• Exceptional forecasting and cost‑control capabilities.
