Subcontract Manager (Commercial Head) - Maintenance Contracts

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for a Subcontract Manager (Commercial Head) based in Jubail. The role manages all activities needed to turn maintenance contracts into work in the Maintenance Department, from defining scopes of work and documentation to tendering, awarding and authorizing contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scopes of work for maintenance activities carried out by contractors during normal refinery operation
• Develop evaluation criteria and preliminary cost estimates for contracts
• Coordinate preparation of Instructions to Bidders, kick-off meetings with contractors and evaluation of economic offers after technical offers have been assessed by the contract responsible party
• Ensure HSSEQ policies and programs are applied in every contract under his responsibility
• Ensure QA/QC requirements and KPIs are included in all maintenance contractors' work

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• At least 12 years of contracting experience
• Fluent writing and reading English
• Strong understanding of bidding processes, contract administration, cost control and budgeting
• Good technical understanding of maintenance execution management and people management
• Well organized, proactive, with proven leadership in large organizations and strategic thinking
