Telephone Operator – Saudi Nationals Only

About the role

The Telephone Operator supports the hotel’s communication hub by answering all incoming calls from guests and external parties. Working in the Front Office, the role ensures every call is handled with friendliness and care, following Kempinski and LQA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate extension efficiently.
• Record guest messages accurately and deliver them promptly.
• Process Do Not Disturb and confidential status requests.
• Manage personal and automatic wake‑up call requests for guests, groups, and crew.
• Respond to guest inquiries, take appropriate actions, or refer to relevant departments.
• Act as the communication centre during emergencies, handling all hotel communications.
• Maintain records of Domestic Direct Dial (DDD) and International Direct Dial (IDD) calls.
• Coordinate telephone charges with Front Office reception for guest billing.
• Monitor TV channels and public‑area music for proper functioning.
• Keep telephone directory, staff updates, emergency procedures, and hotel product knowledge up‑to‑date.
• Maintain a tidy workstation at all times.

Required profile

• Excellent telephone etiquette with a friendly and caring attitude.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate message taking and record keeping.
• Ability to handle guest requests and emergencies calmly and efficiently.
• Good knowledge of hotel standards (Kempinski, LQA) and front‑office procedures.
• Team player who can coordinate with reception and other departments.
