Transportation Team Leader

About the role

ABYAT is seeking a Transportation Team Leader to oversee daily transportation operations for both owned fleet and outsourced trucks across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. You will be responsible for demand planning, truck utilization, route execution, and ensuring on‑time delivery for local and cross‑border shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily transportation activities for owned and outsourced fleets.
• Plan truck requirements based on shipment demand, destination, and priority.
• Coordinate load planning, dispatch, and shipment updates with internal and external customers.
• Monitor trip execution, route adherence, and delivery status with drivers.
• Manage vendor relationships, arrange outsourced trucks, and evaluate vendor performance.
• Review monthly invoices, validate trip records, and control transport operating costs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transportation reports and monitor KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation, fleet management, logistics, or 3PL operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience managing owned fleets and outsourced transport.
• Proven ability to plan demand, dispatch loads, and execute daily transport operations.
• Experience with local Saudi transportation and GCC cross‑border logistics.
