About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the market entry of a global industrial water‑treatment leader into Saudi Arabia. The role is purely focused on building a new business from the ground up, targeting oil & gas, infrastructure, data‑centre and EPC water projects. You will work closely with a world‑class technical and engineering team to drive market penetration.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and grow the company’s presence in Saudi Arabia from scratch.
- Identify and engage prospects in oil & gas, infrastructure, data‑centre and EPC water sectors.
- Develop a sales pipeline, negotiate contracts and close new business.
- Build relationships with government, semi‑government and major industrial stakeholders such as SABIC.
- Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
Required profile
- Proven “hunter” who has built a sales business in Saudi Arabia, not just managed existing accounts.
- Strong knowledge of EPC water projects, industrial chemicals or offshore oil & gas systems.
- Established network with government, semi‑government and key industrial players in Saudi Arabia.
- Entrepreneurial, self‑driven and comfortable being the first and only person on the ground.
- Arabic language skills are a plus but not mandatory; an expatriate with deep KSA market knowledge is also welcome.
