Director of Finance – 5 Star Hotel

About the role

The Director of Finance will lead all accounting and financial functions for a high‑end 5‑star hotel in Al Khobar. Reporting to the General Manager, the role provides strategic financial guidance, ensures robust controls, and drives profitability across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly financial statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations and cash‑flow statements to ownership and senior management.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget and a 5‑year financial plan, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to optimise working capital.
• Support capital planning with NPV and ROI calculations and coordinate departmental budgeting.
• Establish, audit and enforce internal financial controls, purchasing practices, and compliance with hotel standards, GDPR, tax regulations and legal agreements.
• Monitor shared‑cost chargebacks, tax obligations and incentive calculations as per the management agreement.

Required profile

• Extensive finance leadership experience within the GCC hospitality sector.
• Proven ability to influence senior management and drive financial performance.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on profitability and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
