FRP Line Quality Technician

About the role

The FRP Line Quality Technician ensures that fiberglass reinforced plastic products meet strict quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process. You will perform in‑process inspections, document non‑conformances, and support continuous improvement on a busy production line.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular in‑process quality checks during lay‑up, curing, trimming, and finishing stages.
• Record non‑conforming items and issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) promptly.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, batch logs, and test reports for traceability.
• Monitor compliance with SOPs and quality control plans on the FRP line.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and use required PPE.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on quality control experience in FRP, composites, or plastics manufacturing.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Polymer Technology, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Hand lay‑up, spray‑up, filament winding, and pultrusion processes.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and ASTM/ISO product standards.
• Dimensional inspection and mechanical property testing of composite parts.
• Understanding of resin systems (polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy) and fiberglass reinforcements.
• Experience with gel coat applications.
