Mine Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking a highly talented Mine Superintendent to lead production operations across three underground base‑metals mines at the Al Masane complex in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will be responsible for safety, production targets, and coordination with multiple technical departments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest safety, health and environmental standards on site.
• Oversee safe underground mining operations to meet production plans.
• Manage inventory of explosives and blasting consumables, ensuring SOP compliance.
• Lead teams using Drift‑and‑Fill and Longhole Open Stoping mining methods.
• Coordinate Cemented Rock Fill activities and batch‑plant operations.
• Collaborate with Geology, Mobile Maintenance and Mine Technical Services for effective execution.
• Prepare realistic budgets, forecasts and cost estimates for AFEs.
• Act as Mine Manager during his absence and mentor local nationals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
• 10+ years of underground mining experience, including 5+ years in a senior supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of underground procedures, ground control, mine planning and maintenance.
• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mining software such as Datamine, MineSight and Micromine.
• Expertise in drilling and blasting techniques.
• Knowledge of underground mining procedures and ground‑control practices.
• Experience with mine planning and maintenance operations.
