NCS Engineer – SCADA & Project Specialist

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking an NCS Engineer to join its global project team. You will work on oil & gas, pipeline and utility projects, delivering SCADA and control system solutions from design through on‑site commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and control project documentation, including revisions, quality checks and transmittals.
• Perform basic and detailed engineering, application design and configuration to meet customer requirements.
• Assist in assembly, testing and integration of systems, supporting pre‑FAT, FAT and IFAT activities.
• Commission systems on‑site and liaise with project team members to ensure successful delivery.
• Track scope deviations, manage BOM variations and evaluate sub‑vendor technical proposals.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech. in Instrumentation or Control Systems Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong understanding of SCADA, telemetry and PLC systems.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage engineering man‑hours.

Required skills

• SCADA domain expertise for oil/gas, pipeline & utilities.
• Telemetry & PLC systems programming & troubleshooting.
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, Serial, Modbus, DNP3, HART, OPC 2.0, Foundation Fieldbus.
• PLC programming (IEC 61131‑3) and configuration/administration.
• Microsoft OS system administration and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with Yokogawa Fast Tools (FT) and STARDOM/PLC.
• Familiarity with fiber‑optic, wireless, GSM/GPRS, UHF/CDMA communications (preferred).
• Knowledge of instrumentation devices such as transmitters, control valves, temperature/pressure/flow meters, positioners, UV/Heat/Gas/Flame sensors, isolators, barriers and multiplexers.
