Procurement Officer – Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing

About the role

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing end‑to‑end purchasing activities, ensuring that raw materials, equipment, supplies and services are obtained at the best mix of cost, quality and delivery speed while complying with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Research, identify and evaluate potential suppliers locally and globally.
• Manage RFP and RFQ processes from specification gathering to final evaluation.
• Maintain an approved master vendor database.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, payment schedules and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with legal and finance to draft and execute contracts and service agreements.
• Monitor contracts for renewals, terminations or renegotiations.
• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Generate and issue Purchase Orders using Oracle ERP.
• Track shipments, coordinate with logistics, customs and warehouse teams.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs.
• Conduct cost‑benefit and market trend analyses to identify savings.
• Work with Accounts Payable to ensure invoice reconciliation and vendor payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• 3–5+ years of procurement, purchasing or sourcing experience.
• Prior supervisory or “in‑charge” experience is a plus.
• Professional certifications are highly preferred.

Required skills

• High proficiency with Oracle ERP software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data modeling).
• Experience with procurement platforms.
