Site Manager – Electrical (380kV Substation)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead the construction of 380kV substation and BSP projects. The role involves overseeing all electrical works on‑site, coordinating with SEC, consultants and subcontractors, and ensuring delivery in line with SEC standards and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor daily site execution, manpower, materials and equipment for 380kV substation projects.
• Lead and supervise installation, testing, commissioning, cable works, equipment erection and related electrical activities.
• Coordinate with SEC, consultants, civil, protection & control, QA/QC, HSE and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Review drawings, method statements, ITPs and technical documents before work starts.
• Manage subcontractors, monitor productivity, quality and safety, and enforce SEC construction standards.
• Identify schedule delays, implement corrective actions and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Support pre‑commissioning, commissioning and SEC inspection/approval processes.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure closure of technical and construction issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12–15 years of experience in EHV/HV substation construction, including at least 5 years in a Site or Construction Manager role.
• Proven experience on 380kV substation/BSP projects and familiarity with SEC standards and approvals.
• Hands‑on knowledge of GIS installation, power transformers, switchgear, protection systems and cable works.
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
