Venue Cleaning and Waste Manager

About the role

The Venue Cleaning and Waste Manager will lead all cleaning, housekeeping, sanitation and waste management activities for event venues in Riyadh. This role ensures high standards of hygiene, environmental compliance and operational efficiency before, during and after each event.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement cleaning plans for pre‑event, live‑event and post‑event phases.
• Supervise cleaning staff, housekeeping teams and outsourced contractors.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, VIP zones, washrooms, backstage, F&B zones, parking and operational spaces.
• Conduct routine inspections and rapid‑response cleaning for spills or emergencies.
• Manage end‑to‑end waste collection, segregation, recycling, transportation and disposal.
• Coordinate with municipality‑approved waste disposal vendors and monitor compliance with local environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with event operations, production, facilities, security, catering and HSE teams.
• Prepare operational cleaning schedules aligned with event timelines.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and environmental regulations, enforce PPE use and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Recruit, train and supervise cleaning supervisors, waste coordinators and operational staff, preparing rosters and shift plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing venue cleaning and waste operations.
• Strong knowledge of local municipality hygiene and environmental regulations.
• Ability to lead and train cleaning and waste teams.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills to align cleaning activities with event schedules.
• Experience coordinating with external waste disposal and recycling partners.
