Accountant

About the role

Saudi Icon Company is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its finance team. The role supports the Chief Accountant by handling day‑to‑day accounting and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate financial records for the company’s diverse fit‑out and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Process accounts payable, verify supplier invoices and post payments.
• Process accounts receivable, issue invoices and follow up on collections.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in preparing journal entries and supporting schedules for month‑end closing.
• Maintain organized filing of financial documents and records.
• Support the preparation of Zakat, VAT and other regulatory filings.
• Assist with fixed‑asset tracking and inventory reconciliations.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audit requests.
• Perform any other finance‑related tasks assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; construction or fit‑out experience preferred.
• Working toward CPA, CMA or SOCPA membership is a plus.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
• Basic knowledge of Saudi Zakat and VAT regulations.
