Asset Management Expert – Overhead High Voltage Lines

About the role

Elia Grid International is seeking an experienced Asset Management Expert to lead the strategy and performance optimisation of overhead high‑voltage transmission line assets in Riyadh. The role focuses on improving reliability, lifecycle value and risk‑based decision making for conductors, towers, foundations and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain asset management strategies, maintenance, refurbishment and replacement plans for overhead line assets.
• Analyse inspection, maintenance and operational data to assess asset health, support Asset Health Index development and risk assessments.
• Define and improve condition‑monitoring programmes using LiDAR, thermographic, drone and corrosion inspections.
• Perform reliability, failure and trend analyses to drive predictive and condition‑based maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering, maintenance and operations teams and contribute to governance, standards and ISO 55000‑aligned processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in power transmission, specifically high‑voltage overhead lines.
• Proven background in asset management, reliability engineering or transmission line engineering.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong asset.

Required skills

• Overhead transmission line design, maintenance and asset management.
• Asset condition assessment methodologies and Asset Health Index development.
• Reliability‑centred maintenance and risk‑based asset management.
• Condition‑monitoring technologies (LiDAR, thermography, drone inspections, corrosion assessment).
• Asset management systems (EAM, APM, CMMS) and ISO 55000 principles.
