Audit Specialist (Operational/Corporate)

About the role

The Audit Specialist (Operational/Corporate) will lead internal audit engagements across financial, operational and procedural areas, ensuring that SGS’s activities comply with internal policies, applicable legislation and best‑practice audit standards. The role contributes to improving efficiency, risk management and governance throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete audit assignments on schedule, following the approved audit plan.
• Develop detailed audit programs, testing procedures and sampling techniques aligned with identified risks.
• Gather, review and document audit evidence to support clear, well‑documented conclusions.
• Prepare and present audit findings to management, recommending corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor auditors on engagements, providing guidance and reviewing deliverables.
• Evaluate auditor performance, identify training needs and support the development of new staff.
• Stay current with evolving audit methodologies, statistical sampling and electronic data‑processing tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading internal audit engagements and supervising audit teams.
• Ability to communicate audit results clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Commitment to continuous professional development in audit techniques and standards.
