Commis Chef – Luxury Resort (Saudi National)

About the role

As a Commis Chef at Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea you will support the kitchen team in delivering exceptional 5‑star culinary experiences. You will assist with mise en place, food preparation and service while upholding the highest standards of quality, hygiene and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily mise en place and prepare ingredients according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistency, quality and presentation of all dishes.
• Follow recipes, portion control and stock‑management procedures.
• Assist during service and adapt preparations to guest preferences.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized and sanitary at all times.
• Inspect and clean food‑preparation areas to ensure safe food‑handling practices.
• Stay updated with new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
• Support the team during busy periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Required profile

• Saudi nationality.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a basic culinary position.
• Knowledge of different culinary techniques.
• Culinary certificate preferred.
• Understanding of ultra‑luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
• Regional experience is required; pre‑opening experience is a plus.
• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation in line with luxury standards.
