Consultant Psychiatrist (Arabic Speaker) KSA

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist fluent in Arabic to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment across inpatient and outpatient settings, while working within multidisciplinary teams to promote mental wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD and personality disorders.
• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide pharmacological treatment, psychotherapy, counseling and behavioral interventions as appropriate.
• Manage both inpatient and outpatient cases and deliver crisis and emergency psychiatric care.
• Collaborate with psychologists, neurologists, primary care physicians, social workers and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment options and preventive mental health care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with Saudi healthcare regulations.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects, research and continuing medical education.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Board certification or fellowship in Psychiatry.
• Valid SCFHS Consultant registration or eligibility.
• Minimum 5–7 years post‑board consultant experience in psychiatry.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong expertise in adult psychiatry and mental health management.
