Consumer Product Manager

About the role

Soum is looking for a Consumer Product Manager to own the daily experience of buyers and sellers on its marketplace for used electronics and cars. You will translate deep consumer insights into features that boost conversion, repeat purchase and trust across web and mobile.

Key responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for a core consumer area, prioritising impact on conversion, retention, GMV and trust.
• Gather continuous customer insights through interviews, usability testing, app reviews, support tickets and data analysis.
• Optimise the end‑to‑end marketplace funnel from listing creation to post‑purchase experience, including checkout, payments and returns.
• Design trust‑building features such as condition grading, inspection reports, verified sellers and buyer protection.
• Shape subscription products for electronics and cars, collaborating with commercial and finance teams on economics.
• Write clear PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria and lead agile delivery with design and engineering.
• Champion an Arabic‑first, bilingual experience with high‑quality RTL design and localisation.
• Run A/B experiments, define success metrics and make evidence‑based decisions.
• Monitor core consumer KPIs and report on conversion, listing‑to‑sale rate, activation, repeat purchase, NPS and complaints.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of product management experience on consumer‑facing digital products such as marketplaces, e‑commerce or fintech.
• Proven track record of shipping features that moved measurable business metrics.
• Strong consumer intuition backed by data and comfortable with analytics tools.
• Hands‑on experience building for both mobile (iOS & Android) and web.
• Solid understanding of two‑sided marketplace dynamics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong plus.
