Controller – Finance & Business Controlling (Riyadh)

About the role

The Controller will be based in Riyadh and report to the SAGEA Head of Finance & Accounting. You will support the SAGEA (Saudi Arabia, Gulf, East Africa) region in planning, reporting, business partnering and controlling activities, ensuring accurate financial information for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate planning guidelines, timelines and targets; analyse financial impact of assumptions and support review meetings.
• Provide operational business support including pricing, discount and profitability analysis, and recommend cost‑optimisation measures.
• Process accruals, provisions and month‑end routines; prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with corporate policies.
• Coordinate data collection, perform reconciliations and deliver commentary for OPU management.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects, ensure compliance with SOPs, local regulations and IFRS.
• Support the regional controlling team on ad‑hoc projects and maintain internal and external networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or related field; diploma acceptable.
• 5‑6 years of finance and business controlling experience, preferably in a multinational pharmaceutical company or Big Four firm.
• Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic preferred.
