Credit Risk Manager

About the role

The Credit Risk Manager will design and lead the enterprise risk framework for a fast‑growing fintech lender in Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the role combines full responsibility for risk identification, assessment and mitigation with the creation of a robust credit underwriting engine.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework covering credit, operational, market, liquidity, strategic, reputational and technology risks.
• Author the company’s Credit Policy from scratch, defining eligibility criteria, exposure limits, collateral requirements, pricing methodology and exception handling.
• Design, validate and continuously improve credit scoring models (application, behavioral and collection) and the decision‑engine rules.
• Monitor model performance through back‑testing, champion/challenger testing and ongoing validation.
• Provide risk insights for product design, pricing strategy and customer segmentation while ensuring compliance with SAMA regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in credit risk, enterprise risk management or related finance functions.
• Proven track record of building risk frameworks and credit underwriting processes in a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate quantitative models into actionable policies.
