Design Engineer – Roads & Utilities for Airport Renovation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the design and coordination of roads, drainage, utilities and related infrastructure for a major airport renovation project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves producing detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with airport standards and Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of road geometry, pavement structures, intersections, access, drainage, traffic management, signage and safety barriers.
• Review and coordinate utility networks including stormwater, potable water, sewerage, irrigation, fire water, electrical and telecommunications systems.
• Prepare and issue detailed drawings, layouts, specifications and BOQs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and BIM tools.
• Collaborate with architectural, MEP, structural and construction teams to resolve design interfaces and technical issues.
• Support site inspections, design reviews, construction activities and provide technical solutions to maintain quality, safety and project compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or related engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on large‑scale airport renovation or similar infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with flexible and rigid pavement design, including polymer‑modified asphalt.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical reviews, value‑engineering proposals and design change processes.
