Director of Engineering – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Director of Engineering for The Jeddah EDITION will lead all engineering and facilities functions, ensuring safety, security, and asset protection while delivering exceptional guest and employee experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the physical plant, including HVAC‑R, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, water treatment and fire life‑safety systems in line with SOPs.
• Develop and control the engineering budget, capital‑expenditure projects, preventative‑maintenance plans and energy‑conservation initiatives.
• Oversee service contracts, supervise construction projects, and ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Lead the emergency response team, coordinate with fire crews and maintain all licensing, permits and certifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with 6 years of engineering/maintenance experience, or a 2‑year degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, etc., with 4 years of experience.
• Technical training in HVAC‑R, electrical and plumbing systems.
