About the role
The Chef de Cuisine is accountable for the quality, consistency and production of the restaurant kitchen, leading staff while personally performing culinary tasks. This role manages menus, purchasing, staffing and food preparation to ensure guest satisfaction and budget compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen shift operations, ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies, sanitation standards and proper food storage.
- Develop, design and create new menu items, seasonal dishes and decorative food displays.
- Plan and manage food quantities, plating requirements and daily production needs.
- Lead, train and cross‑train kitchen team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance environment.
- Maintain kitchen goals related to performance, budget and team objectives while ensuring safety standards.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years culinary experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel Management with 2 years experience.
- Proven ability to supervise kitchen staff, manage daily operations and uphold food quality standards.
