Director of Finance

About the role

Rixos Murjana, a new luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead the finance function. Reporting to the General Manager, the role oversees finance, accounting, cost control and purchasing, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and compliance with Rixos policies and Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Finance, Accounting, Cost Control, Purchasing and related operations.
• Prepare, manage and monitor the annual operating budget, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting, reconciliations and timely submission to Rixos, ownership and authorities.
• Maintain effective cash‑management controls and provide recommendations based on performance.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, payroll, disbursements and overall financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with Rixos policies, Saudi Arabian laws and the management agreement.
• Coordinate with Regional Finance, HR, IT and other departments on financial matters.
• Supervise credit management, tax returns, statutory reports and liaise with auditors and regulators.
• Lead, coach, train and evaluate Finance team members.
• Participate in credit meetings, management meetings and property initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 5‑7 years of finance experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Previous senior hotel finance or Director of Finance role is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls and cash management.
• Understanding of Saudi Arabian financial, tax and statutory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional judgment.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
