Experienced Welder – Power Generation Equipment

About the role

Your day involves executing specialized welding activities on‑site, including weld build‑ups and weld repairs on critical power generation equipment, while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards under the guidance of Field Service leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Execute maintenance, repair, modification and welding activities on large steam and gas turbine generators at customer power plants across Saudi Arabia and international sites.
• Lead mechanical maintenance crews in disassembly, inspection, repair and re‑assembly of turbine generators and associated equipment.
• Plan and carry out site activities in compliance with Siemens Energy quality, EHS standards and project documentation.
• Conduct site surveys, review technical drawings and task plans, develop maintenance strategies and provide technical guidance to teams and subcontractors.
• Champion safety by leading safety programs, performing risk assessments and enforcing PPE requirements during outage and maintenance work.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in welding repairs and weld build‑ups on power generation equipment.
• Formal technical training in Welding Technology or a related trade.
• Ability to pass 6G heavy‑wall pipe welding tests using GTAW and SMAW.
• Proficient in interpreting machine and weld drawings and technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel internationally (70%+, 200‑250 days per year) and work demanding outage schedules.
