Finance Manager, Marketplace & E‑commerce Operations

About the role

Rwaj is a live‑commerce marketplace serving the Middle East. We are seeking a hands‑on Finance Manager to own the financial operations of our marketplace, including seller payouts, VAT readiness, reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day finance operations: track buyer payments, seller balances, platform commissions, refunds and payouts.
• Build and maintain controls around seller payouts, wallet balances, refunds, adjustments and transaction reconciliation.
• Define and enforce internal policies for payouts, refunds, adjustments and financial exception handling.
• Oversee VAT preparation, reporting and coordination with external accountants and tax advisors.
• Reconcile payment transactions, bank statements, refunds and seller payouts; prepare regular revenue, commission and liability reports.
• Support monthly closing, management reporting and dashboards; identify financial leakage and operational risks.

Required profile

• Experience in e‑commerce or marketplace finance environments.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving startup, building processes from scratch.
• Strong understanding of marketplace money flows, VAT, and financial controls.
• Ability to translate business operations into clear financial reports and policies.
