General Accountant AP/AR

About the role

Kaizen Firm is looking for a detail-driven, analytical General Accountant covering Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in its Finance department, reporting to the Finance Director. The role owns financial data integrity, reporting and control processes, and sits within the manufacturing sector in Jeddah.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: receive, review and process vendor invoices with a 3-way match, code them correctly in the ERP, run scheduled payments (ACH, wires, checks), reconcile vendor statements, maintain vendor master records, monitor AP aging and support month-end close.
• Accounts Receivable: issue customer invoices, post payments, follow up on overdue accounts, coordinate billing disputes with sales and customer service, prepare customer statements and support credit limit reviews.
• Reconciliation and reporting: reconcile AP and AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger, support weekly cash flow forecasts, month-end and year-end close, and prepare ad-hoc reports.
• Compliance and documentation: ensure compliance with company policy, internal controls and Saudi VAT (GAZT) requirements, keep audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field (required).
• 2+ years of AP and/or AR experience in a manufacturing, automotive or industrial environment (required).
• Relevant professional certification such as AAT or IAB is a plus.
• English and Arabic proficiency required.

Required skills

• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred).
• Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and basic reconciliation formulas.
• Double-entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
• Preferred: multi-currency experience, familiarity with Saudi VAT and GAZT, and SAP.
