General Accountant

About the role

CLEAR is hiring a General Accountant in Riyadh on a full-time basis. The role covers day-to-day accounting, financial statement support, reconciliations, audit assistance and budget monitoring, working closely with the finance team and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers, recording daily transactions including accounts payable and receivable
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly
• Prepare financial documentation for audits and assist in coordinating external audits
• Assist in budget preparation and expenditure monitoring, providing variance reports to management
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies, and stay up to date on financial legislation and best practices
• Use accounting software such as SAP and QuickBooks for transactions and reporting, and help implement new financial software
• Help maintain and enforce internal controls and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with other departments and support the finance team on ad-hoc projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
• ZATCA or IFRS certification is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to work in a team and independently, with good time management and deadline awareness

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and SAP
• MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills including formulas and data analysis functions
