About the role
Nexus Steel is seeking reliable general laborers to support construction sites across the region. The role combines hands‑on physical work with firewatch duties, ensuring safety during hot‑work operations.
Key responsibilities
- Perform firewatch in assigned areas, monitoring hot work and reacting to hazards.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with general construction tasks and site cleanup.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 65 lb.
- Work 40‑60 hours per week, including overtime and 8‑12 hour shifts, up to six days as needed.
- Maintain reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Required profile
- Ability to pass a background check and a pre‑employment drug screen.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules.
- Reliable personal transportation.
