General Manager – IT (Automotive Dealerships)

About the role

The company, a leading automotive dealership and distribution group, is looking for an experienced General Manager – IT to shape its technology strategy and drive digital transformation across multiple locations. The role oversees all IT functions, ensuring seamless integration of dealership systems, ERP, CRM and OEM portals to support sales, aftersales, parts and service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall IT strategy and technology roadmap.
• Lead IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications and digital transformation programmes.
• Manage, optimise and enhance Kerridge DMS and Infor SyteLine ERP platforms.
• Ensure integration between dealership systems, ERP, CRM, OEM portals and other business applications.
• Oversee ERP and DMS implementation, migration, upgrade and optimisation projects.
• Establish IT governance, security controls, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Manage relationships with software vendors, OEM technology partners and third‑party service providers.
• Drive process automation, operational efficiency and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Lead and develop high‑performing IT teams across multiple sites.
• Control annual IT budgets, contracts and technology investment plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, IS or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior IT leadership role.
• Proven experience managing Kerridge DMS and Infor SyteLine ERP in automotive dealership or multi‑branch environments.
• Strong understanding of dealership operations – vehicle sales, aftersales, parts, service and bodyshop.
