Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to provide on‑site engineering support for construction projects across Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with construction teams, ensuring that all geotechnical aspects meet design specifications and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review geotechnical reports, drawings, specifications and soil investigation data.
• Monitor and verify geotechnical works, including excavation, earthworks, grading, backfilling, compaction and soil improvement.
• Identify and assess unsuitable ground conditions and recommend treatment, removal or stabilization measures.
• Provide technical input to Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, Risk Assessments and Work Inspection Requests.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and laboratories for soil testing, field density, CBR, plate load and other required tests.
• Validate laboratory and field test results against project acceptance criteria.
• Inspect formation levels, subgrade preparation, engineered fill and other earthwork layers before construction proceeds.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of geotechnical engineering experience in construction.
• Proven ability to support excavation, earthworks and ground improvement activities.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, classification and foundation design.
