Head of Finance Operations & Budget

About the role

The Financial Institution in Riyadh seeks a seasoned finance leader to own budgeting and finance operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this senior role influences strategy, performance monitoring, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual financial planning cycle, set budget drivers, stress‑test assumptions and provide regular forecasting and variance analysis.
• Deliver granular performance insights at product, customer and entity levels to support ALCO, pricing and strategic planning.
• Oversee transactional finance functions including invoice processing, supplier settlements, period‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations and regulatory payments.
• Ensure compliance with SAMA and ZATCA regulations, documenting finance operations to meet regulatory expectations.
• Own the ERP environment, drive system enhancements, module rollouts and advance automation and analytics within finance.
• Partner with business and product teams to financially evaluate new initiatives, operating models and translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
• Build and develop a high‑performing team, shifting culture from transactional processing to financial partnership.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance experience in the banking sector, covering both FP&A and operational finance.
• Strong background in management accounting, cost allocation and revenue assurance within banking.
• Proven experience in ERP implementation or optimisation programmes.
• Ability to communicate complex financial data to senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to finance digitalisation or automation projects is a plus.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualification preferred.
• Open only to Saudi nationals due to nationalisation policies.
