Health and Safety Officer – OHS Policy & Risk Management

About the role

The Health and Safety Officer will develop, implement and monitor occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment at Al Rashed Food Company. You will collaborate with HR and operational teams to embed safety practices throughout the organization and lead training initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement OHS policies and programs.
• Advise and guide employees on safety‑related topics.
• Prepare and deliver regular safety seminars and webinars.
• Review and update existing safety policies and procedures.
• Work with HR to integrate safety into the employee onboarding process.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
• Identify process bottlenecks and propose timely solutions.
• Monitor employee compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Prepare and present reports on accidents, violations and their root causes.
• Oversee workplace repairs, installations and any activities that could affect employee safety.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.
• BSc/BA in safety management or a related field.
• Certificate in occupational health and safety.
• Strong knowledge of safety legislation, hazardous materials and best practices.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
