HIS Support Specialist – Healthcare IT Contractor

About the role

The Hospital Information System (HIS) Support Specialist provides day‑to‑day technical and functional assistance for the HIS platform across our Jeddah and Taif sites. Working closely with clinical, administrative and IT teams, the specialist ensures smooth system operations and high user satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for HIS users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, incidents, and user inquiries.
• Log, track, and follow up on support tickets until resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to higher‑level support teams or vendors.
• Configure and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
• Assist with system updates, testing, and deployment of new functionalities.
• Maintain documentation for processes, known issues, and resolutions.
• Deliver basic user training and support sessions.
• Gather user feedback and contribute to system improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with implementation and IT teams to ensure system stability and performance.
• Perform shift handover and issue tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Health Sciences, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in technical support and troubleshooting of HIS or similar healthcare applications.
• Excellent customer support and communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with hospital workflows, medical terminology, or healthcare information systems is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Jeddah and Taif.
