Senior Manager Infrastructure and IT Operations

About the role

The Senior Manager – Infrastructure and IT Operations leads the organisation’s entire IT infrastructure, cloud platforms and security functions. You will ensure services are secure, available, scalable and delivered within agreed service levels while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate data‑centre, server, storage, virtualization, network and end‑user computing environments.
• Lead Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud strategy, migration, governance and cost optimisation.
• Own cybersecurity agenda, operating Microsoft Defender XDR, Sentinel, Purview, Entra ID Conditional Access and Intune.
• Manage the service desk, incident, problem, change and major incident processes following ITIL v4.
• Automate infrastructure and operations using PowerShell, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, Power Automate and IaC pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Bicep, Terraform).
• Lead, coach and develop infrastructure, security and support teams, handling shift coverage and on‑call rotation.
• Plan and deliver projects, monitor SLA/KPI performance and produce regular governance reports.

Required profile

• 10+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud and operations experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing infrastructure, security and service‑desk teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; master’s preferred.
• Microsoft certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.) and ITIL v4; security certs (CISSP, CISM) desirable.
