Import & Customs Logistics Specialist – FMCG

About the role

Unilever is seeking an Import & Customs Logistics Specialist to manage end‑to‑end import shipment flows from its Jeddah hub. The role ensures cost‑effective, compliant customs clearance while navigating Saudi Arabia’s complex regulatory environment within a fast‑paced FMCG supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full customs clearance process for incoming goods, securing approvals and permits before arrival.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory bodies such as SFDA, SASO, and ZATCA, handling triangulation invoices and customs exemptions.
• Track import shipments from origin to warehouse delivery, monitor transit timelines, and coordinate empty container returns to avoid demurrage.
• Serve as the primary contact for freight forwarders, logistics service providers, government officials, and internal warehouse teams.
• Monitor vendor performance, identify bottlenecks, measure clearance lead times, and support continuous‑improvement projects using analytics tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years hands‑on experience in import operations, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics within Saudi Arabia.
• Practical knowledge of KSA regulatory frameworks and platforms (SFDA, SASO, ZATCA).
• Bilingual fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Power BI skills are a strong advantage.
